From Roots to Renewal
The Roots
The Ma family’s journey began in Vietnam and Blossomed in Tucson. As immigrants to this great country, we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to pursue the dream that so many strive to achieve. Our story started on Tucson’s south side, in a small neighborhood market where our parents, Vo Ma and Tuyen Nguyen, built a beloved Chinese food deli that quickly became a local favorite. It was there they taught us the values that would shape our lives — resilience, hard work, sacrifice and the power of family and community.
The Seeds
My brother Hien Ma, now CEO of Miss Saigon Restaurants, transformed those values into a culinary vision — introducing Tucson to the authentic soul of Vietnamese cuisine. Vinh Ma, our Director of Construction & Development, brought that vision to life through masterful design and craftsmanship.
Eight and nine years their junior, I, Bao Ma, the youngest, learned by watching — absorbing every detail, solving unseen problems, and dreaming of what could come next.
Today, Saigon Blossoms represents our family's evolution. Hien built the foundation. Vinh kept us steady. Bao brought innovation and vision. Together, we've created something that honors our past while embracing our future.
